Vertical cable pool fencing
The architectural alternative to glass. Open sightlines, natural airflow and no panels to clean, designed to AS 1926.1 and custom-made in Australia.
Pool safety,
without the glass box.
Every Australian pool needs a compliant safety barrier, but it shouldn’t wall off the view. The sentrel vertical cable pool fence pairs proprietary aluminium extrusions with self-tensioning 316 marine-grade stainless steel cables for a fine, almost invisible barrier around the water.
Frames are finished in Dulux Duratec powder coat for colour retention and scuff resistance in coastal and harsh outdoor conditions. Unlike glass, there are no panels to polish, no salt or water spots, and no still, trapped heat around the pool.
Compliant. Safe. Durable.

Vertical cables remove the “ladder effect” of horizontal wire, giving children no footholds, while keeping clear sightlines to the water from the house and deck.

A compliant pool fence is about the whole area, not just the panels
- Keep pots, furniture, BBQs, trees and other climbable objects clear of the fence
- Make sure gates self-close and self-latch, and test them once installed
- Confirm the substrate and fixing points are sound before installation
Pool barrier rules and inspections vary between states and councils. Check with your local council or pool certifier, and talk to our team about anything specific to your site.
“Finally an alternative to labour-intensive glass… This product enhances the visual appeal of the pool area like glass but increases air flow by not trapping hot air around the pool.”Michael W. · Vertical cable pool fence · ★★★★★ Google review
